Bill's Rockpile 2020

Bill’s Rockpile  20202008

Well, 2020 was an abnormally abysmal year. But unbelievably, and against all odds, we were treated to an abnormally stellar year of good musical selections. Despite the gloomy news and difficulties that Covid brought the world, I was amazed at the output and quality of a steady stream of releases. And also surprisingly good albums from people we have not heard from in years (Hum, Cribs, Doves)! Thank goodness for musicians and their ability to get their music out. We must remember to support them back on the road as soon as we are able. And a big thanks to Bandcamp, where I bought the bulk of my music this year, for their monthly first Friday Bandcamp nights where they gave the artists all the proceeds instead of taking a cut. Hopefully we are seeing some light at the end of the very long and dark tunnel of 2020. So here are my favorites and most played songs of the year that I want to forget (but remember these releases).

Cheers,

Bill
